Canadian singer and songwriter Shawn Mendes has announced that he will be releasing a new song titled “it’ll be okay” tomorrow.
The singer announced the single in an Instagram post on Tuesday with a 10 seconds long snippet.
This comes 2 weeks after Mendes and Cuban-American singer Camila Cabello announced their split. The couple began dating in July 2019.
The song follows the August 20 release of “Summer of Love” with Tainy.
Born August 8, 1998, Mendes gained a following in 2013, posting song covers on the video-sharing application Vine. The following year, he caught the attention of artist manager Andrew Gertler and Island Records A&R Ziggy Chareton, which led to him signing a deal with the record label.
Mendes’s self-titled debut EP was released in 2014, followed by his debut studio album Handwritten in 2015.
Wonder, the fourth studio album by Mendes was released by Island Records on December 4, 2020. Its production was handled by Mendes, Frank Dukes, Kid Harpoon and Scott Harris, among others. The album was preceded by Shawn Mendes: In Wonder, a 2020 Netflix documentary capturing Mendes’ off-stage life.
