Peaky Blinders Season 6 Updates: After a long break of two years, one of the most beloved series of Netflix, Peaky Blinders, is returning with its last season. BBC has released its trailer, and after the release of the trailer, the fans seem happy because the series has all the big names returning for season 6.

In an interview, the show’s writer Steven Knight said that Peaky had made its return on the OTT platform, but this time with its gang. The production was delayed because of COVID, as the situation was inappropriate for shooting.

He also assured the fans that the last season would be the best season of the whole show. He also claimed that the series would end after the season, but the fans would find the show in another form, concluding with a film.

The final season streaming on the OTT platform has not yet been announced, but Steven Knights hinted that it would return in 2022. The shooting of the last season was completed in May 2021after which Director Anthony Byrne shared in November that the show is returning in 2022 with its previous season. All five seasons of the show are available on Netflix for re-watch.

One of the show’s most loved characters, Tommy’s aunty Polly Gray played by Helen McCrory, died in April 2021. She was 52, and she was an essential character of the show. She had also played many significant roles in famous movies like Harry Potter and Penny Dreadful etc. the news was shared on Twitter by her husband, Damian Lewis.

He said, “I’m heartbroken to announce that after a heroic battle with cancer, the beautiful and mighty woman that is McCrory has died peacefully at home surrounded by a wave of love by friends and family. Cillian Murphy also paid tribute to the lady and posted on Twitter ‘huge absence on set.”

Helen McCrory played the role of Tommy’s aunt, and in many scenes, she has acted as the matriarch of the family. In season 5, Michael and his wife wanted to take over the Shelby family business, but Tommy was against it. In the meantime, someone tries to interrupt Tommy’s plan to kill Oswald Mosley.

The fans suspect that Michael and Gina have done that, but it has put Polly Gray in a wrong position because his love died in the attempt to murder.

The movie was shot at picturesque Le Mans Crescent in Bolton. Emmett J Scanlan also shared a black and white preview of the show in April 2021. BBC had put in efforts in transforming the east coast village of Portsoy appropriate for the scene as the movie plot is based on the 1020s era. The harbor was reconstructed to picture it as the harbor of the 17th century.
